Documentary Video - "I Come From Hawaii"
Topic of video
The friendship between a Hawaiian, William Gallo III  and a Chinese, Phua Li Li and them managing to overcome their differences in culture
Structure of the Documentary Video
The opening sequence:
Multiple jump cuts on the diverse culture of Malaysia such as shots of the mamak stall, the morning market, the city center portraying people or tourists from different countries to depict the Malaysian lifestyle.

The following sequence:
Childhood photos will be shown through a montage followed by the interview and the B-rolls will be overlapped throughout this scene with the voiceovers of the main characters. The B-rolls will consist of them spending time together as well as scenes of them teaching one another something about their culture.

The final part:
The two main characters would portray their differences in culture through a series of questions on their slang, traditions and others.
Editing: Style and Tone
Editing:
Our documentary will include edited footage of their daily life and culture. These footages will be juxtaposed alongside the interview. As the setting of our video will be in the morning to evening, we will use natural lighting. The main interview will be handled with two cameras for both still and point of view shots of the characters.

Pace and Tone:
The pace of our documentary will start off slow during the footages of Malaysia and the brief introduction of the characters. The climax will be illustrated during the interview and there will be a pleasant tone throughout the quiz footage. The B-rolls will have the warm tone to illustrate the close friendship between them.
